If you've never sailed at night, you're missing one of the most exquisite offering the sport of sailing. The night is a magical time in a boat sail, even with more comfort and peace that you experience during the daytime. There's nothing like ghosting and hydroplaning on the full moon above or decreased along a coastline isolated and hearing the coyotes howl or cry of a creepy old barn owl.

But the candle in the night is very different as you can imagine that during the day. A lake with their benchmarks and identifying points looks completely different in the dark. Sometimes, the dangers and channels for boats are well lit and marked and sometimes not. Following a rule of common sense and some simple for your first night sailing ensure that your tour at night is pleasant and not stressful and dangerous for you and your crew.

1. Before sailing alone at night, the crew with someone who has experience. There is no substitute for learning any navigation capability of someone who has done it before.
2. For your candle the first night, the scope of its route during the day. Be sure to indicate danger areas in your GPS, as well as the channel to its home port.
3. Sailing with a crew of at least another for your time fist. Surveillance in tight areas and places where traffic is heavy the other boat is best done by someone else while you focus on the head.
