Whether Paradis Peak climb, ride the waves, water skiing in the waters of the Caribbean or boldly parasailing at Orient Beach, there is plenty to keep your adventurous teenager busy. Or perhaps your son is like mine and I can not get enough of waking up at dawn with his father and enjoying a morning round of golf in the heat with a tropical breeze. Personally, my daughter and I prefer to soak in the waters of the Caribbean.

After spend several days sampling of distinctly different beaches around the island, an absolute favorite of my son and my daughter is taking a day trip to the island Pinel. Starting with a small wooden boat in French Cul de Sac brings you to this little gem of an island dedicated to sunbathing, snorkeling and delight just normal in the warm turquoise waters. This tour never fails to make my teens feel they have been transferred to the magical island of Gilligan.

Exciting Island Night Life

At night the island comes alive with music, dance and song. Enjoy a "virgin" tropical drink while see the sunset from any of the countless bars for perfect viewing point has become a family holiday tradition San Martín. Dinners are always a major event that we all take very seriously as we decide to sample the kitchen every night. Although we each have our favorite restaurant we like return each year, we take turns to decide where to eat based on how casual or exotic that can be felt that night. Our "adult" tastes lean more refined French cuisine with rich sauces, but we can always find a good compromise for our teenagers who crave the exotic selection of pizzas, tropical tacos or salads with a style that many restaurants offer their rates with more elaborate.

After stuffing ourselves and each night that this promising will be the last night we indulge in deliciously decadent dessert any more, the big decision of the day, to go for after dinner and dancing in celebration. With the prospect of "disgusting" to be seen with their parents, our young people usually agree to try a different club every night to experience the true flavor of St. Maarten vacation with limitless options ranging from Phillipsburg to Marigot to Maho. Cheri's has always been a family favorite with his evening show that always takes us up and dancing.

And when we finally headed back to our "hole" our children are always eager to start their night every night swimming and star gazing by our private pool. A few minutes from Maho, and an easy drive from Phillipsburg and all our favorite beaches, Casa Boco villa is the ideal retreat for a week vacation with teens. While sleeping late, relaxing by the pool enjoying a quiet lunch in the outdoor dining area overlooking the sea. There are days when everyone simply choose to stay in the village, absorbing rays at the pool away from the hustle of "and the fuss" until the sun sets casting reds in the sky.

Unexpected Find

Strolling through the streets while deciding on my last purchase of jewelry, my son and my daughter met with "It" Yoda Guy, and who are Star Wars fans who are, could not have been happier! Check it out: One of the main special effects genius who helped create the character endearing Yoda from Star Wars has retired to San Martin and created a museum of Stars Wars Mini where you can see the exhibition with a small purchase of its line of film memorabilia of goods. I must admit that this was just about as exciting for us as it was for our children!

In all, experiencing a holiday in a villa St. Maarten as a family with two active teenagers has become a tradition far more positive. There are plenty of opportunities to create memories that will always be appreciated by us all.
